For Veterinarians

Exotic pets and wildlife are challenging patients. They are often small, difficult to handle and can have significantly different anatomy and physiology to your domesticated dogs and cats.

We understand that it may not be an option to refer such patients due to geographical and cost constraints. For this reason, a vet to vet support and consultation service is now available! The service allows you to consult Dr Jayne Weller about your exotic animal patients over the phone or by video call, with the goal to improve your confidence and ability in appropriate diagnoses and treatment. A general subscription to this service provides you with unlimited case consultations for up to 30 hours over a six month period. The service can also be tailored to suit you or your clinic's needs so contact us today to discuss a support program that works for you.

In addition to vet to vet support, in clinic training can be provided to improve your entire team's skill and knowledge in exotic animal medicine and surgery. The training is presented as a workshop series and again can be tailored to the clinics' needs and interests. An initial four part series is delivered and can be presented as a two day intensive or as four evening classes.

Jayne also takes face to face referrals at Moruya Veterinary Hospital, Bega Veterinary Hospital and Inner South Veterinary Centre (contact the clinics directly for the next visit date). Referred cases don’t have to be tricky, they can just be a species you are not familiar with and would like an opinion on. Please make appointments with the individual hospital if your client will be travelling there for a face to face consult.
